As a parent carer of a child with special needs or disability, you may have a right to claim a number of different benefits. It can be a challenge to apply for these and get the description of your child's needs fit for the application. There are a number of places you can go for some support.

Contact Disability and Tax Credits Advice

Contact, the charity for families with disabled children provide advice and support around financial matters including benefits and tax credits. This includes tips for filling in the Disability Living Allowance forms which go into depth on each question. Among their comprehensive website, they also have an online grant search form provided by the Turn2Us charity, if you are seeking financial support for specific services or resources. You are advised to check first that you are receiving what you are entitled to already through the benefits services from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) before you apply for grants.
